Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 (WCAG) are the required standard for Local Government websites from 23rd September 2020

As an independent unincorporated organisation F.T.W.is not obliged to meet the WCAG but considers it good practice as far as possible to conform to them.

This website is run by Felixstowe Travel Watch.  We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.  For example, that means you should be able to -

Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard

How accessible is this website ?  We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible -

You cannot modify the line height or spacing of text

We cannot guarantee the full accessibility of PDF or Word document to screen reader software

We have embedded Alternative Text behind each image to convey the purpose of the image or message we wish to convey through that image, except for images used purely for decorative purposes or images that appear in carousels on the Home page and Line Improvement Works Photos page.
