Our March 2022 Newsletter no NL141 has now been published and sent to members together with our 2022 Tours brochure.

The National Express coach services between Ipswich and London and Ipswich to Stansted Aiport have been withdrawn - as far as we know permanently.  

Members meeting 26th October 2021 - Over 60 members came to our afternoon meeting in the Salvation Army church to hear the local travel news, pay their annual subscriptions, hear the latest news about the 2022 Tours programme and enjoy a wonderful illustrated presentation by our Chairman Graham Newman on the subject of the "Lost railway stations on the East Suffolk Lines".  Refreshmenst arranged by Jenny Holland.

5th September 2021 - Revised Ipswich Reds Villlage links starts.  Note 73 Old Felixstowe to Woodbridge journey changes include a new route through Felixstowe reverting back to Highfield Road / Orwell Road (instead of the Crescent Road  / Mill Lane route)

FROM Monday 21st June 2021  Greater Anglia are adding 12 intercity services back into the timetable.  The extra services are -

Departing from Norwich to London Liverpool Street, calling at the usual stations along the way - 09.30,  10.30,  11.32,  14.30,  15.30 and 16.30

Departing from London Liverpool Street to Norwich, calling at the usual stations along the way - 12.00,  13.00,  14.00,  17.00,  17.50 and 19.02

These extra services will bring the timetable up to about 86% of the normal summer timetable and will improve the connections between the Felixstowe branch line and main line and other services

Monday 12th April TRAIN SERVICES  Train services on the Felixstowe Branch line have been reinstated to our pre-lockdown HOURLY SERVICE and on-board conductors resuming their ticket sales and checking services.
